- Bikur Cholim of Cleveland was founded in 1988 by a group of volunteers who recognized the need for a communal structure to serve the needs of Jewish sick patients and their families.
- In 1994, Bikur Cholim was incorporated as a non-profit organization. Since its inception, Bikur Cholim experienced several milestone expansions:

- 2005: Zaidman house given for Bikur Cholim use
