Over the past several months, we have been met with one of the most difficult and trying periods our nation has faced in its recent history.  Amidst shutdowns, health crises, and periods of uncertainty, one thing has remained certain, Bikur Cholim of Cleveland is here to stay and has been stronger than ever.

On July 19th, Bikur Cholim together with LakeHealth Beachwood Medical Center successfully hosted a plasma drive with over 100 participants.  The plasma drive was brought to Cleveland through the Maryland Plasma Initiative and is working alongside Mayo Clinic and the American Red Cross.  Bikur Cholim, an organization with over 300 volunteers, has a long history of helping patients. They service Cleveland natives as well as those that travel here for medical treatment from across the globe.

Become a Plasma Donor

Are you a recovered COVID-19 patient, experienced COVID-19 symptoms, or have you been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient?

After recovery from illness, your body produces antibodies to the causative agent.  Unfortunately, there is no approved cure for patients with a confirmed COVID-19 infection.  However, plasma containing COVID-19 antibodies is being discussed as a possible therapy, with over 34,000 patients receiving donations.

Bikur Cholim has incurred tremendous expenses due to its increased services during these trying times.
