Women's Health Division

If you are a Jewish woman going through a difficult time or even a time of celebration, Bikur Cholim is here to provide support, guidance and advocacy.

Bikur Cholim’s new Women’s Health Division was developed to support the unique healthcare needs Jewish women face. The service includes advocacy and emotional support around the following medical issues:

• Infertility 
  
• Any concerns related to pregnancy, including childbirth, miscarriage or pregnancy loss
  
• Obstetric emergency 
  
• Menopause/post-menopause issues 
  
• General gynecology 

Services include:

• Confidential advocacy and referral services. 
• Free medical equipment loans, including breast pumps. 
• Recommendations for emotional/wellness support and self-care. 
• Support with household chores.* 
• Childcare provided by Bikur Cholim volunteers.*
• Education on important women’s health topics. 
• Ability to connect with other women who share similar journeys. 
• 24/7 access to Bikur Cholim resources and services.

The Women’s Health Division phone line is managed by Leviah Hauer, RN, a practicing nurse in Cleveland with over 30 years of experience and a Bikur Cholim volunteer.
